She Sells Radio

Nov 12, 2019

Welcome back to the Instant Impact podcast with your host, Elyse Archer! In today’s episode, Elyse goes deep with Tracy Oswald, the high achiever’s coach. Tracy is an expert in working with high-level workers in helping them tap into their true selves so they can make a more meaningful impact in the space they occupy. Tracy and Elyse chat about a range of topics, from some challenges high achievers face and some actionable tips on how to overcome them, to feelings, mental shifts, and even immersive theater.

Tracy shares with Elyse her reasons for getting into coaching, which she says comes from a place of her own growth. She uses her own experience finding her inner self through immersive theater. As she tells her story, she dives into some challenges high achievers face. A primary one being the high achiever’s threshold. This Threshold is the point at which we think we can get to the next level through hard work and hard work alone. We work harder for more hours and end up over-scheduling, and by doing so, we create a resistance to what it is we want to achieve. We want to come from a place of appreciation and a mindset of success, not from forcing the work out of us. Tracy goes on to share some tips on how to overcome this, and the mental shifts we can make to get ourselves back on track.

The two of them chat more about impact versus impact that matters. It’s easy to make an impact, but making an impact that matters is a different story.

Finally, Elyse and Tracy discuss getting to a place of alignment. This place is where your efforts don’t feel like grinding. Often times, people are certain that you cannot be successful and have fun along the way. They conclude that in fact, when you put the fun first, success comes naturally.
